How far should my heater stay away from 1/2 tubing?

I just got a heater for my 12g nano to put in the sump area in the back. It needs to go in the middle, with my reactor powerhead and tubing. The space is about 4" wide. Is it safe to put it there and just keep it and the tubing apart? My guess is yes but wanted to check

Direct contact is all you need to avoid.
