I think the ATI blue+ is the best 460nm actinic bulb there is acanman. I'm looking for an awesome 420nm actinic.

I have a 4 bulb unit for frags. I'm looking for color and growth. Someone fill in the blanks for me.

That combo will give you a very good amount of growth and color

first bulbs to turn on should be both Blue plus then the fiji and special
for a dusck to down

Actinics dont give good par just pop colors
Blue + pops color and give good par

Its dificult to get these readings cause who ever does the test will have to have a Ice cap ballast to perfom the reading test

But ill tell you these IMO Ice cap are good ballast but using them to overdrive T5 will affect the color and life of the bulb. Wich I think is not neccesary for getting colors and growth

Yes it will pop colors and no algae bloom problems that Iam aware of i personally use this type of bulbs just less blue and more white
cause I like more growth then color

i use

3. 54W Coral Light Fiji Purple
4. UV Actinic White
5. ATI 54W Aqua Blue
6. ATI 54W Blue Plus

i want something more blue for my daylight, but i still want a lot of growth. whats the best combo for that?

try and take pics before and after so you could compare

Like I said before use the 2 blue plus to start the lighting cycle of the day and then
the other 4 bulbs this will creat a very nice dusk to dawn
