I had that. I beat it by running GFO and beefing up my CUC with more hermits and turbo's. If you are not running GFO already start very slowly.

Will do!! Did you ever figure out what kind it was? Is it gha? Or a type of cyano or what? I need to get a good clean up crew anyways so now might be the time

I cant say for sure what it was but it was like a combination of GHA and some other algae. The crabs went to town on it and the GFO turned it brownish in about a week.

Following. I have the same thing. I just got some nerite snails and they're going to town chowing on it.

Here's the algae I have. It's green without the blue lights and it's getting worse every day. Should I brush it off daily or is that going to cause a dieoff that will stress my biofilter?

Also, one of the snails died. The other two are groovy on the glass and back of the tank, but they're not eating the algae. I thought that's what they were supposed to do?
