Maintenance is pretty easy. I have 45g. Of total water volume so 1 5g. Bucket does it. My ca. Alk. And mag are low. Been dosing kalk in my ATO for a little over a month. It's not cutting it. Going to start 2 part soon. Growth is great and glass cleaning is easy. Corral one is exploding. Thanks.

I'm not sure I would really do much differently. Have the MakersLed light that I'm very happy with.
Eheim 1262 return pump
Glass holes 700gph overflow in the center.
2- mp10wes
Jbj 1/10 chiller
ITech 100 skimmer (Craigslist)
Autotopoff.com ATO. (No problems yet.)

Next on my list is 2 part dosing. Maybe an Apex in the future.

Come to think of it, one thing I wished I did differently was to skip the BC14 & BC29 and went straight to the 40b from the start.

Hows the glass-holes overflow? Did you set it up with the parts it comes with? Is it quiet?
Sorry for the questions. I'm sort of planning a 40B in my head for the past week

I like the overflow. I did use the parts it came with. It isn't silent, but its not loud. When I first set it up, it was pretty loud, but for some reason it has quieted down. My return pump it about 600gph so the water really moves through there.

I like the overflow on the side with one return nozzle. Other guys with the overflow in the middle and two return nozzles said they wished they did it in the side with one nozzle like mine.

Installed a marine magic dosing pump a couple weeks ago. Stopped running kalk in the ATO. One less thing to mix and variable to worry about. Numbers are finally spot on since last test 2 days ago. Everything looks very happy.

Haha. I post a pic as soon as I get home. Was dosing too much. Actually my calcium and mag. Test kits were off. I had saliferts that expire in 2 years. Was almost empty so I bought new ones. My calcium was above 500 and mag above 1500. Stopped dosing for a couple days and did a water change. They are coming withing range. Everything is looking happy.
