Epic comeback.
Very beautiful. You can picture the sump? What is now in the system, some salt, a combination of T5?

Glad things in the end worked out for you. You were able to pick up some very nice pieces at the LFS judging by the pics. Chock it up to a learning experience. :)

Ill tidy up the sump and get a pic, its really simple...first section is where the water comes in from the display, there is 10l of Siporax in there, then the skimmer section and finally the return which has two reactors with carbon and rowaphos. Carbon replaced monthly, about a cup of carbon each time. Rowaphos changed about 3 months and use about 4 teaspoons of it.

Weekly water changes using Rea Sea blue bucket salt and also using Fauna Marin color elements plus Reef Vitality (just started).

Ah T5, how good does it look lol, the combo is 5 ATI Blue plus, 2 ATI coral plus and a Fiji Pink.

Nice. Who's your lfs? Thats what I call sourcing some good livestock.

Bit far for you to drive, im in Australia...have to say we are kinda spoilt, coral staight off the reef to my tank in a day for only $30 a piece!

I am a veteran reefer and no matter how long you have been in the hobby after a disaster or lots of issues it is hard to stay motivated. I like to focus on my successes that I have achieved and look towards new achievements in the future. It keeps you motivated and focused on the good you have done and keeps you focused on getting over the situation. If you think how good it is going to feel when you achieve that success it helps you get over the bad and stay focused on the future good. Mindset is important in these situations.

I happened to have a new ABS in storage so decided to try a swap out. Here are some pics for reference, its actually a nice crisp color and not yellow at all which I was surprised at.

From left to right -
ATI Blue+
ATI Coral+
KZ Fiji Purple
Gieseman Actinic Blue
ATI Aqau Blue Special
