Some day I'll have a big tank, but for now I have a dad who says a 46 gallon is "big enough" and then complains that we can't have a blue tang, or more zoas.

Here are a select few of some fishy pictures that have made there way in from QT and a 29 gallon that has been running since I took the 210 down. The lawnmower, dottyback, and the two clowns came from there so far. The Mata Tang is extremely active and likes to get his picture taken.

I keep getting asked how it cycled so fast in 2 weeks. Welll the basement part has been running for several months already and cycled roughly 2 months ago. I figured I wouldn't see much of a change after adding the display, and sure enough I assumed correct. I test every other day or so and nothing. The only thing I can see is that the skimmer is now doing some work!

Well this morning sucked a bit. Found the female watanabei in QT on the floor a few feet away from the tank all dried up. Now the male is lonely.

There are no covers on the 40 breeders, I did on the 20Ls at first but never got any for the 40s. Something must have started it pretty good in the middle of the night.

Algae scrubber up and running with low to moderate flow. I will have to put some plexiglass shielding up or something to elimate splashing with higher flow.

Put a Jebao DC9000 in to power this room instead of one of the drains like it has been.

Moved the scrubber over to the larger tank yesterday morning. Now trying to decide if I want to hang thin acrylic sheets in between the canvas and light, or clear recycling garbage bags which can be thrown out and replaced very cheap. Also need some plastic clamps to get rid of the metal ones being used on the hose.

Ended up having to take the slot pipe out and make the slot bigger. Working a lot better now afterwards, as it was too tight. There is also a small amount of growth starting on the canvas.
