I do 5 gallon buckets just cause its easier, so my 15 gallon gets 30% weekly, my 10 gallon gets 50% weekly, and when I had my 5 gallon it would be 80% weekly.

I've done it for years and never seen any harm, but the more you change out, the more you have to be careful to match the temperature (but even then I've dropped the temp by as much as 10 degrees without harm)

Matching pH and making sure the water is oxygenated along with the usual temp and salinity becomes a little more important with really large volume water changes, but IMO it’s a good way to go if you’re willing to be diligent about the makeup water. The main advantage is that it’s a more efficient way to reduce nitrates and dissolved organics.
