What are your plans? Which skimmer? Which lights? What corals are you interested into getting? Like your rock scape looks good!

Well, by your signature, I guess I'm not a real man. LOL
I'm going with Radion Pro LEDs, Super Reef Octopus RO-PS1000 with Bubble Blaster ... I love SPSs, so we'll see how it goes...especially Acros.
Right now I have one MP10wES but plan to add a second once I get my cabinets done. I'm thinking of using Miracle Mud, but I do have a tread out there asking if anyone has used Caribsea's refugium kit. I absolutely want a sand sifting Goby with pistol shrimp, but I also love Jawfish (can I keep both?). I'd also like really white sand, but it seems like all the real white sand is the sugar sand size, but from what I've read the fine stuff is a pain to have. All input welcome. Does my video play above?

Installation of sink and tank stand (cabinet frame).

The dining room edge of the aquarium is over the main footer wall of our house, the family room was an addition built over a crawl space. The floor of the family room has a bounce to it if the kids are playing in it, so just to be extra safe and to give the tank extra stability, I put and extra block brace in the crawl space just a bit out from the right corner of the tank on the family room side. Hopefully any bounce from the room will stop at this brace.

I would say no to the goby and the jawfish in the same tank, but I could be wrong. I've also read somewhere that jawfish prefer somewhat cooler temps for long term health, but they are very cool fish.

Ok it has been a long time. The guy building my cabinet has had serious heart problems...and although better, gets winded and can't work on it at all...so his sons showed up today....nearly a year later...it will be two years in March since I started this project.

They say you need patience...so I guess I'm perfect for this hobby.
Theses photos are my first coat of black stain on the bottom frame and doors.

My second coat of black stain.
It will look black but still have the grains of the oak showing through.

Still a slow progression. Thanks for following. We have the bottom cabinet doors up, but we decided we didn't want the doors to go all the way down to the floor, do they will need to be trimmed up. Hopefully some work will get done this weekend.

Looks really nice. How did you fasten the rocks together? Is there anything structural holding them upright other than the rocks themselves?

Marco rocks, in my opinion are the best... And they are a decent price. You'll love and so will your fish, all the holes.

Yes the tall structure has a fiberglass rod through them, I took a patio paver and drilled a hole the size of the rod and stuck the rod in it. The rod can be purchased at Lowes or home improvement store... It is a driveway marker... Used often in snow areas. Then since Marco Rocks are so holey most slid right on. The lower pile is held together with some cement you can also purchase from Marco Rocks.

So much better than other rocks that, well, just look like a pile of cement.

What mode is your vortech usually in? I tried to dial in a wave on short pulse on my 50 but I couldn't get it. It made on heck of a wave on my 33.
