By the time I thought to grab my phone and take some pics it had already started going back in.
Also, afterward I noticed a round thing that seems to have come out of one of the mouths.
Any insight? Is that normal?

Do you by any chance have a youtube account? Is it possible to video that coral for any water flow issue? That might put your mind to ease.
And for what its worth, this coral goes through many inflate and deflate stages throughout the day. I would still like to look at flow just to make sure we aren't borderline ripping its skin off.

I could definitely do that for you a little later when I’m off work, but This is what the tank looks like. I have a VT MP10 and it’s on about half power at its apex which rarely actlay happens, it typically stays down around a third or less power.
