I have just made another post about changing tanks and it has brought up another question I have

I have been offered a free bag of af bio sand by a friend that bought too much for his tank. Could I use the bacteria that comes with this in a bottle to seed other sand? I want to use special grade sand for the larger grain size but have only been able to source the dry version, could I use the same process as the bio sand to seed this into live sand? Or would it not work due to a reason I’m missing

You can certainly use it in tandem with your own sand. I recommend as much bacterial biodiversity as possible!
