So I'll start with saying I really wanted to like this product since addition of natural bacteria and minerals to my tank really intrigued me. I did some research before hand, so I knew that there's magnetic basalt fragments in the mud. So I dissolved the mud in a graduated cylinder in tank water and used a magnetic stirrer in order to hopefully collect all the magnetic particles onto the magnet itself. That was successful. But I didn't expect to find giant pieces of plastic in the product. I found about a 3in long piece of what looks like a grocery bag balled up inside the first scoop I pulled out of the container. Sadly I guess it makes sense with how much trash pollution goes into our seas daily. I can only imagine what micro plastics may also be in this product as a result of what I found. Any one else run into plastic in this product?

That’s not good but the batch is a natural substance
I’d send this pic to AF
They will likely replace it

People have been complaining about foreign objects from plastic pieces to metal and rust found inside their life source mud to AF and every time they all say that the mud is sourced from nature and its "normal".
