I got the frame of the 720 gallon tank assembled and glues last night. Time to start preparing for the glass installation on the 480 gallon tank. This tank is heavy but I flipped it over without too much difficulty. More to come on the glass installation.

I have fitted the glass on the 480 gallon tank. Looks like I will be changing my strategy slightly as the rail system I developed will not provide enough room for the rtv and the rails. I still have some prep work to complete but I am hoping to get the glass down in the next couple of weeks. I will send an update when I get more progress on installing the glass.

Any updates [emoji848]
Well unfortunately on 10-2-16 a water line on my second floor decided to start leaking while I was out of town. So for ~1.5 days there was water flooding my home. Reconstruction is still ongoing and has halted my work on the aquariums until most of the house is fixed. I can say though that my 720 gallon tank does hold water though as it had a few inches of water in it that made its way down to the basement. The rest of the setup and electrical work was away from the flood area so only the one tank got some water in it but since it was already epoxy coated there was no damage to the aquarium setup. I am hoping to start making some progress this weekend and maybe get some glass in the 480. I will post some pictures of a video of putting the glass in when it is done.

Thanks I think everything is going to be alright. Just an unexpected disaster. I am now thinking I need to add extra plastic on the ceiling of the basement. I was already going to put plastic on the ceiling above the tanks to trap humidity and allow it to be vented outside. Now I think it will double as protection from water getting in from above the tanks in the event of another leak.

Well I have been working on the tanks and have some updates. I have prepared the 480 gallon tank for glass after a couple extra coats of pond armor. I did the same for the 720 gallon tank and I have installed the pvc bottom on the tank. I also decided I needed some extra space and built a rack above the third stage of the sump. The bottom sides of the top frames have also been coated with pond armor.

Another day of progress. I did a full dry fit of the 480gallon tank glass and it's looking good. Next I will rtv the spacers down so they don't move when I install the glass permanently. Is anyone interested in a video of the glass installation if so I will make one at the time of install.

So what made you decide to use pond armor instead of another 2 part epoxy using the pour method?
