Only noticed it a few days after adding crabs and snails...

I'm guessing some sort of algae?

The red blotches on the rock

Could b cyano, diatoms or the start of corraline the tank looks fairly new expect it to go through many stages of " the uglies" until it stabilizes. Nice aquascape.☺
