I run a 36" 8-bub ATI Sunpower on a 42"x24x24". I use the ends for lower light loving corals like Acans. Visually it looks fine.

I have a 36" on my 48" tank, it works just fine. I figured those 6" on each end would just be for sand and pumps.

That’s good to hear, justifying the upgrade to a 75 or 90 just got easier.

For those running a fixture that is shorter than their tank (24” light on 36” tank, 36” light on a 48” tank), is there sufficient coverage on the ends of the tank?

It would be great if I could get away with getting a longer tank without having to upgrade my lights.
I use a 6 x 24 watt ATI fixture over a 32" x 24" and while the par numbers are definitely lower on the ends I can still grow euphyllia on each end and favias and chalices.
