Need help identifying what the white stringy stuff is on one of my Zoa’s. Any suggestions is appreciated. Excuse the water clarity as I just got done doing some tank maintenance and dirtied the water.

The photo is a bit blurry, but it looks like they could be hydroids.

You have a bit of an algae problem too... How long has the tank been running?
I know the tank has been running for about 8 months. I’ve had FOWLR tanks for over a year and this is my first reef tank. Only using a canister filter right now but hope to upgrade to a new AIO tank in the near future. I am also currently awaiting the arrival of my new Hanna phosphate and nitrate checker.
