Can anyone confirm Aquamax are rebranded Phoenix bulbs? I have the opportunity to buy one and told it's a Phoenix bulb rebranded. Hoping to confirm so I don't have unwanted side effects putting in a different bulb than what I've been running for 2 years.

thanks !

I thought phoenix bulbs were Japanese made and Aquamax we're German made. Hence the price difference.. but would not be surprised if they were the same.

Historically..14 years ago..
Was more like the Radium "20000K"..
today??

This is in NO WAY definitive but from the crude spectrum analysis about the only difference is the Phoenix Blue striped area) has a pronounced spike in the violet range that the Aquamaxx does not have.
All 3 (Radium,Phoenix,Aquamaxx) seem to share more than they differ..
Keep in mind the age of the aqua/rad spectrums..

YMMV.. different ballasts ect..
Will they look the same??
none of them look to be "14000K" or even close.

I do not think that PEC made AquaMaxx... so not a true rebrand.

Phoenix on PFO HQI has a PPFD of 85 and the AquaMaxx was 55.4 (both shielded). Even allowing some difference for testing changes, this is a huge difference. These are both Dr. Joshi tests.
