Aquashella Dallas 2023 was awesome!

I just wanted to share my experience with you all and say Aquashella was definitely one for the books. I loved every aspect of it and I felt at home kinda because it had a convention/expo setup and I perform and go to Tattoo conventions alot wether to work or just observe. So many corals ..so many great prices. I went with a short list of this.

-Leptastrea
-All yellow coral
-Assassin snails

I came back with 10 corals lol.
5 pea puffers
And 2 plants.

What was also great was I got to watch Sanjay Joshis segment about nitrates into fine detail. I sat right next to Joe Yaiullo he looks grumpy in person haha lol.

Aquascape contest was great. So many different minds in different tanks. I didn't enter any raffles but it didn't really spark my interest. I found some corals at the very end that I wish I would've found first because I was broke by that time and I still had a 4 hour drive back to Houston.

Overall a success.. who all else enjoyed the experience? I'd love to hear what caught your attention or what corals you bought.

For anyone that's been before to Orlando or elsewhere.. what were some big moments you remembered about it. I hope to see lots of stories

P.s. I will be posting pics of my corals later as I bought so many I need help I.D. a couple of them lol.

Thats awesome!!! I was wondering if more known places or celebrities would be at the Orlando one since it's so close to where alot of reefers live. Either way I loved every aspect of it. I may have to try reefapalooza if it's any different

All of the shows have a different vibe and there are even variations within locations of the same show (RAP Orlando, RAP NY, RAP CA, etc.). Aquashella has a lot more entertainment and a lot more spectators, whereas RAP has a lot more corals for sale, equipment vendors, and knowledgeable attendees. Personally, I prefer Reef-a-Palooza to any of the other shows, but there is a place in the market for many different types of shows. I plan to be at RAP Texas later this year so make sure that you stop by the R2R booth to say "hi"!
