Hi a noobie here.

My zoanthids are not looking so hot. I have them for around 1 week now. At the beginning they looked better. But when days past by they look a bit worse.. so half closed.

I didn't change anything in this time.

No3 sits around 5
Po4 sits around 0.06

The middle ones (fake chillis) are looking like they are reaching for light.

They suppose to sit around 100 PAR but those measurements were made with Photone App so take that with a grain of salt.

The tank is 5 weeks old and in diatom phase.

I attached 2 photos. 1 when the lights are on and zoas are half open. The other pic is when light period is off and zoas are closed.

Any ideas?

Thanx

No, I don’t think they are reaching. If they needed more light they would be reaching with the light on and when they are open which doesn’t appear to be the case. Although on the easy side, zoas can be finicky. Give them more time to settle in.
