@stewy14 if you don't absolutely need/want an Urchin, I'd stay away. Supposedly Halloween Pincushions are some of the better ones.

I had a Purple Pincushion eat my skimmer wire and I had a Pencil Urchin eat half of my Galaxea - skeleton and all. Pincushions carry stuff around, Tuxedos will carry stuff around some as well... Usually they go for frags. Pencil urchins can knock rocks over.

Like?

They get a chewing and they don't always stop.

Electrical cords(@tbrown ) I had one nip the flesh band of a new torch last year, and just had one who, has been on the rock many times, mow across some nice goni frags.

They just keep a chewin and don't stop.

I don't trust them anymore

I think tuxedo's are smaller, but the pincushion is by far one of the hardiest.

So if that died... something is up with your water chemistry, and probably wont be able to support a tuxedo.

My Pencil lives in the sump. My Pincushion used to until it ate the wire and became unalived.

Asking this cuz my pincushion just died, and I have a 11.4 gallon cube
Tuxedo are one of the best but they tend to drag frags and shells around. For me has been Pencil urchin

Well, any good algae eaters? I already have a Mexican turbo snail
What type of algae? Where's it growing?

I like Trochus, Nerites, Ceriths, Nassarius, and Stomatellas personality. Margaritas are good.
