We all just said no to urchinsTuxedo. Have one in a 7-gallon Deskmate for over a year now. Does take patience for it to mow through everything, so patience needs to be exercised there.
And make sure everything is glued down. Everything.
That size tank, do you have to glue it to the desk also?Tuxedo. Have one in a 7-gallon Deskmate for over a year now. Does take patience for it to mow through everything, so patience needs to be exercised there.

If it's bryopsis or turf algae, not much takes care of it.Imma go to sleep now, imma check back in for more answers tomorrow and research on those already given
True but for us, we’re reef endangerment.I don't think ANYTHING is truly reef safe. Everything is Reef safe with caution.
It’s just hair and glass algae that sticks on and my cleaner can’t get it off immaIf it's bryopsis or turf algae, not much takes care of it.
agreed.
I also only have 1 rock(2 but that has nothing)agreed.
scrub it and follow up with a water change. repeat as many times as necessary.
In extreme gha cases, if possible, i actually recommend pulling the highest rocks one by one, scrub the rock, follow up by dunking them in a pail to clear the loose gha and give them a good misting with peroxide in a sprayer, sit for 30 seconds and then return them to the tank.
this was the only method that allowed me to regain control of my extremely hairy tank
yea it usually collects in the same place you'd put SPS corals. The highest PAR with the best flow.I also only have 1 rock(2 but that has nothing)
Or it starved to death. Mine has done such a great job of cleaning up the tank I have to feed it occasionally. When it's on the front of the tank, I'll get it some nori, keeps it happy.I think tuxedo's are smaller, but the pincushion is by far one of the hardiest.
So if that died... something is up with your water chemistry, and probably wont be able to support a tuxedo.

I had a bad case of turf algae in a 88gal and two pincusion urchins scrubbed it clean in about 4 weeks. Now I'm a bit concerned they'll turn to the good stuff but they did their job.If it's bryopsis or turf algae, not much takes care of it.
