Does anybody know what a black and white maxima goes for? Or what I should expect to pay for a nice hybrid specimen?
Thanks,

a true black and white, about 600-1000 depending on size.

hybrids, i have no idea sorry.

just be sure if you are looking at black and whites, they are BLACK, some are brown, and they are not nearly as nice.

How do these look

I like the 2nd one in from the left. Just not sure what a good price is for it? I don't want to pay too much. They definetely aren't true though

the first one on the left is CRAZY nice! second one in is also really cool too.

Myself, i would get a nice blue squamosa over a black and white...unless it was the first one =)

I picked these up at the same LFS that was selling the true black and whites for 160. None of these were considered true black and whites.

Ian, you live right out by my Brother. I am from S. Cal myself. My aunt lives up in Sacramento. I miss it out there. Especially all the nice corals!, for a lot less due to shipping and cherry picking prior to making it out this way.
We are in the Military, so we go where they send us. :(

Are you selling any of those? I love the top two.
Hit me up with a pm. Love your other stuff too, seen the pics of your chalice rackkkkksssssss. lol

Thanks Junior, we do get the best stuff. :)

Sorry not selling any. Only reason I have them in my frag tank right now is because they were getting abused in my display. My wave is just too strong in my display. I was going to put some large frag disks under the clams and let them attach and get a bit bigger then transfer them to the display.

Here is what I ended up picking out. He didn't get the first 2 in. And I like this one A LOT better. It looks like lightening, to me ;)
I got a good price (not much more than ian) considering location, and the amount of people trying to buy them blind!!!

The picture was taken with a point and shoot, 1 hr. after it went in my display. So it still isn't fully open, like it was today. I'll have to take some pictures tomorrow.
Pretty stoked on my new buddy!

I was there before he opened, and waited till he got them in at 2pm. So I was happy to have first pick!
Not to mention there were guys trying to buy it blind and via CC over the phone. Couldn't believe it. Not like they are that rare, EXCEPT out here. East = Last on the food chain!

JuniorMC, if I could find either a B&W maxima and/or Blue squamosa I would get both of them.
