It's not that bad and nothing like a record they were talking about. As long as it is under about 18", the snow blower will remove it on one pass.

Then you will have to do two passes unless you have one of those giant snow blowers.

Pretty wimpy in middle CT. If my 25 lb. dog can run through it, it doesn't qualify as a blizzard to me.. Lol
The kids had fun though!

This blizzard was a dud, I expected 2-3 times as much snow, we only have about a foot still.

Luckily, I've still got power and the fish are enjoying another day on a tropical beach.

Depending on what we get when it finishes (its still snowing), it was one of our top storms in history. It's very hard to estimate due to drifting in the wind, but probably about two feet at my house.

I'm exhausted from shoveling, both our house and a neighbors who arranged with my daughters to shovel for the winter, but this storm was beyond them.

This ended up being a pretty nasty storm for the Eastern End of Long Island - thankfully we didn't lose power either. Glad all seemed ok so far up north. We got about 26"

Riddle:

What's the difference between a 14 year old and a 53 year old?

Answer: After more than two hours of heavy shoveling a friend out in the frigid wind of the second of our big storms this week, the 14 year old says:

"Dad, want to race up the hill to the house?"

The dad thinks to himself..."I'll just be glad if I can make it back" :D

I love my snow blower. Thing works great. I always feel like it comes out better than a plow.

That's it, I need to go out and take a pic.

We have 6-7 foot mounds of snow here. First pic shows you how high, second pic shows same height all the way down the road. 1 week ago today we had grass showing and no snow.

I need to move south. I really hate the snow + cold. I'd rather be drinking a carona on the beach looking at some thongs running by :)

Go figure, there was a crew out in front of our house last week doing utility work...last couple of days our power had wonky... Supposedly fixed Sunday night... Still wonky this we have this...

Power has been shut off 4 hours... Tank is at 74. They say an hour or 2 more. When do I freak out and hook my portable generator? Have battery air pump running for oxygen.
House is at 66 right now.... 12 outside.
