Are you talking about the way the cap is glued to the plug? I've glued caps and acros in such a way to pvc and plugs so to wedge them in and let them float off the reef. Not sure if this was the intention but it's a good way to fill in otherwise dead spots and ledges.

True, but what about when you put it in the frag rack lol. Why did they glue it like it was a stylo

I have also seen that to try and change the growth pattern with caps.
