This is taking over my fuge but I have none so far in the display tank. I think it must be Caulerpa, but I'm having trouble identifying the species from photos. It seems closest to racemosa, but not a perfect match - the stalks are a little more "leggy", and the ramuli are not as round. Maybe a turbinata variety?

Caulerpa chemnitzia var. turbinata would be my guess (sometimes known as Caulerpa racemosa var. turbinata, though that's an unaccepted synonym).

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
