A4R on a doser. Captiv8 trace in ato. The only thing that bugs me with A4R is no ph bennies. Does great with alk calc mag but kalc gives those ph bennies. Mine sits around 8.1 always but would really like 8.3. Captiv8 because my algae scrubber strips traces hard and AFR cant keep up.
I do 3 part dosing plus trace elements. Alk, Calcium, Mg, and Red Sea A, B, C, D trace elements, plus Chaeto grow (9 trace elements) weekly. No water changes.
I do not test for anything but alk, phosphate, and nitrate. Otherwise I visually assess how trace elements are doing based on coral coloration. if they start to wash out or lose some of their color, I know I need to dose more.
I dose alk and calcium in equal parts (around 196 ml per day) Magnesium I only dose 36 ml per day. Enough to make sure some is being added everyday, but, not enough that it's going to raise mg in the tank. When I do test calcium is usually around 500 and mg is usually around 1550.
My little 65 gallon has been hooked on All For Reef now for over 2 years. Dose 32ml a day keeps everything perfect. That’s it besides a little 5gal WC every week. Can’t deny the results the colors are amazing. And that’s with a kessel ap9x set to max of 48% during the day.
