So I recently bought a 48x48x12 tank. Unfortunately in the move a corner got nicked and a slight chip happened. Do you think its safe, it is only one panel that is chipped , do you think if I cover it with two 5x5 pieces of glass on the outside of the tank covering the chip it will be fine?

How about trying something like a corner moulding put on both ends and put it towards the wall.

Or just have 2 pieces of glass cut 2"x12" and put on corner should only be 3 to 5 bucks if that much.

I just had a piece cut 4" x 2-1/2 "for sump and it was only $2.00.

My tank has a chip like that. I filled the chip with silicone just so no one cut themselves on it.
yours should be fine
