Filter roll running out means it's time for another update, nothing to report here this month really.. keeping steady on course. The puppy has been taking the majority of my energy and attention that isn't already going to work/life/etc.. so things have been pretty quiet on this front for the time being

Still no luck on the wrasse, Live Aquaria has yet to refund my order, so keeping my fingers crossed that they come through someday soon

Pleasant surprise, live aquaria emailed very late last night that the order was arriving today. Great timing as I was halfway done tearing down the QT tank to save energy so I dumped 10 gallons I had mixing back in.

Wrasse is very small, hoping all is well, it has very noticeable redness where the white is. I could tell through the bag that it was looking unhappy, so I temp acclimated in the bag and then dropped straight into QT, no drip. My concern was that the fish was going to get burned, or already was from the bag water. Worried exposing to oxygen would make things worse.

It has been picking at debris, thawing some food to see if it will eat a little, but otherwise current plan is to let it chill in QT for at least a couple days before starting any treatment. Will keep an eye on the redness for sure. Fingers crossed.

I put a bowl of sand in the QT so don’t mind the dusty bottom..

I have been leaving my phone recording for short periods since the wrasse is very shy when I am around the tank. It seems to be doing alright so far though.

Current plan is to do metro/kanaplex combo starting after work today. I am not sure if I am doing prazi at the same time, but I might do all 3 at once pending more research about combining the three..

Nothing special going on with the main display other than a large patch of cyano

The wrasse made it through 32 days of QT treatment and is currently in a box in the display tank finally.

I'll probably keep it in the box overnight and then let it free in the morning. It should have no problem putting on weight with all the worms and other weird inverts that have had no predators until now. Had a heck of a time finding this fish over 6 months, hopefully it does well!

I will say, I have not owned a wrasse before and it has been very entertaining to watch so far.

I realized it has been some time since my last update, things have been quiet.. and by quiet I mean Aiptasia has been quietly reeking havoc :grinning-face-with-sweat:
Since the last update I have been manually fighting them off, but have had a heck of a time getting the ones deep in the rock work and such and they always come back.

About 2-3 weeks ago I ordered some nudi's, I am hopeful they will start to make some progress on their end in the coming months as I continue the fight on my front

For my birthday I treated myself to an anemone from Tidal Gardens, going big or going home on this one..

I've also since QT'ed and dropped in some Anthias from my LFS and I have moved the kenya tree out of the display and for now it is in the empty QT tank - hoping to make some space there for some more LPS or other softies in the future..

I'll come back with a nicer full tank shot once I give the glass a good cleaning - but otherwise the tank is still going!

My anemone seems to have split last night, there is a much smaller one right next to it, and the original seems to be covering a portion of it's mouth that I would assume it split from. The original has not moved a single time since I put it into the tank, and both seem to be happily half inside a flower pot, so I would assume light is ok..
Fingers crossed there, but here's some pics at least

Was drinking coffee and saw something weird in the Reefmat this morning - turned into a Nudi rescue operation.
Glad to know they are still in there somewhere, and have been growing in size at least

I had an extra foot length of tube I was about to toss out but decided to super glue some plastic caps to each end with some food inside.

I got this around midnight last night

Latest Update: I noticed that the black clownfish had a very cloudy left eye. I don't see any scratching, however I have treated all of my fish and tank with prazi pro (2x per the date calculator) previously so I am hard pressed to see it being flukes. I pulled the clownfish as a pair into a QT bucket to cover the bacterial front if needed (My QT tank formed a small leak and was taken down previously). Though it is looking a bit better today already

Other than that the only change to the tank is the aiptasia are still going strong, and the BTA count has increased by one.
