Citric acid on frag plugs

Can citric acid be used to clean frag plugs? I know it’s fine on equipment, wondering if it is inert once dry on more porous items like plugs.

(Accidently cleaned a plug with it and it looks pristine- assuming it’s safe but wanted to run it thru here first)

Rinse it off and it’s fine.
