I noticed my skimmer was making a weird noise and went to investigate. I sometimes get salt creep in my skimmer's silencer and I turned it off and unscrewed it. I tilted it enough to get some sort of milky water, maybe 5ml, into the tank. I then saw that somehow co2 scrubbing media made it into the silencer. I assume the milky fluid was water with some co2 scrubber media in it. It is a mix of the icecap and bulk media you can get off amazon in 5g jugs. I do have inverts and a 6" nem. this happened about 5 minutes ago and I do not see any immediate reactions from the lovestock. What should my next steps be?

I found this thread and I assume I should be good, but could use advice on this issue. My alk has been low, 5dkh, and I added extra rox .8. I also have a polyfilter pad. Do you think I should add this as well?

@Randy Holmes-Farley what does you expertise recommend?

I tested my alk and it is at 5-5.5 dkh using a red sea kit. ph went from 8.28 to 8.41. Will continue to monitor the tank, but hopefully everything will be fine
