Conchs will eat meat?

Today I thought that I would give my nassarius snails a treat and add a bit of raw shrimp on a veggie clip. They swarmed it pretty quickly and I wandered off to do other things while they were eating. When I came back, all the nassarius snails were back under the sand, but I found a surprise waiting for me. One of my fighting conchs had discovered the shrimp and was happily munching on it. I was under the impression that conchs were strict vegetarians. I don't know if this behavior has been documented on this forum, so I decided to take a quick video of it to share with you guys.

My tiger conch loves salmon! I was surprised when I saw him eating salmon I had given my coral banded shrimp

Clams are my urchins favorite meal. He doesn't know he is a vegan.
