Woke up this morning to an issue with my COR20. A bumble bee snail got sucked into the propeller.

I took it apart, removed the snail, gave it a citric acid bath, put it back together with special attention to the rubber gasket and screws.

Turn it back on and it won’t go back to normal operating range.

At 80% power the COR 20 typically uses 70ish watts and 2800 RPM.

At the same power the reassembled pump only goes to 35ish watts and 2000 rpm.

Is this really expensive pump useless now?

I just switched power bricks between the two pumps. Looks like the brick is the issue. Thank god it isn’t the pump. Hopefully I can keep it connected until I get a new one in the morning. I hope it doesn’t cause any damage to it.

It should not since it's just sending less power to it, that is exactly what the controller does to increase and decrease speed, good luck

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
