Coral ID and cleaning tips....please :-)

Hi all,

One of the corals I picked up in September is becoming engulfed in what I think is BHA.
Interesting as this (BHA) has been around for a while but is very limited in the tank, little bit on a powerhead and so on...
a. What will be the best method to clean it? Or, do I simply wait it out?
b. Since I am posting an image, if anyone knows what the coral is, please let me know so when people ask I don't seem so ignorant...

Looks like branching gsp green star polyps. What are your parameters?

Gsp, you can put it in 3/1 3% water and hydrogen peroxide for 5 minutes. The gsp will be ticked off for a day or two but the algae will be gone and the gsp will return to it’s former beauty.

I input them into my Neptune APEX JR. if you want more details.. Not sure if that would help..

Thank you, I had to read your response twice... I should share why as you may find it funny (or sad) LOL
I read "put in" not put "it" in and said to myself how can I only do it for five minutes???

I am trying so hard to keep up with you guys in this hobby, it ain't easy ...... but worth it... I hope you enjoyed my loss of brain cells for a moment......long holiday week..

Reduce white intensity and pick what you can off by hand and add a few cerith and astrea snails.

Will do.. I ordered a "cleanup crew" for my tank from reefcleaners a week or so ago with 27 Florida Ceriths and 6 Astraea Snails so hopefully cleaning what I can and the crew we can prevail...
