Anybody have a meter or remember what they are getting for par with lx7. And what intensity are you running. I'm at 90% now. With t5 running. And on my rock work I'm only at 330ish. Slowly working up to 100. But thinking with mitras and t5 I won't even be in 400s... Mitras are 11" above water

How far below the surface is the rockwork? I was running my lx7's at close to 100% and had par readings of 600 just below the surface. BTW don't rely on par with LED. They aren't MH. LED's give the spectrum that corals need and thus don't need the intensity.

I’m at 360 about 9” below the water, Mitras right at 9” above the water at 80% (winter mode) going to 100% by July. Should be over 400 at that point

Right now peak rock under one of mitras. Is 320-330par leds at 90%. With t5 on.... Rock work is roughly 10 inches below water. I really want rocks at 400... I don't see why they shouldn't hit 400 par without t5 lol. Once I work my way to peak 100%. I'll prob drop the lights down 1 inch. And see where that ends up at. Before I'm forced to buy another mitras

Been awhile. Been dealing with turf and gha. It's frustrating. I wanna punch my tank. Just did another WC. hoping my snails step up their game soon. I just did a 30g WC. Siphoned the fuzz off the sand. I have kole and blue tang arriving tomorrow hopefully eager to work for me lol. Another step for me was getting an apogee mq 510 and getting an idea on my par. Thia build was for eventually having acros. So the rocks is staying clear for when my algae is gone and I can take the step to acro life.

Here's my par at. I'll prob leave it here for now. I dont want lps to fry. But I have alot of room to raise intensity as my lights are running at I think 56.5% average intensity.
I went through your build thread. There's nothing wrong with this par. Is this with or without t5?
I have a 150 tall and my lights are mounted about 9 inches off the water. I was reaching 400- 450 par at the rockwork at about 90%. I have since turned them down quite a bit. But I did add a Mitras lightbar. Deep actinic for shadowing. I have my LX 7's mounted on the same kessil arms. I turned the LX7'S parallel.

Not sure what par your reading on my thread. I did par when first set up tank since remodeled rock work and opened the rock up. Nothing in middle. But I believe when I posted par I had rock all the way across and in middle without t5. I have my t5/mitras 11 inches from water. Also have a custom lid by a vendor on here. Maybe that diffuses par alot.

This. You said the LX7's were running about 50%.

That's old. Let me do an update. Current right now. I just dropped my fixture 1.5 inch or so. So now mitras are about 9.75-10" from water line. Currently t5 on and mitras at 90%

That red circle which is dead under mitras too of my rock now with the powerheads on pause so I don't get to fast fluctuation. I'm at about 350par on middle top of both side rock structures.

I then just went into my p4 and raised intensity to 100% and just to see quickly what it hits. It clears 400s. Not quite 450. I don't believe but then I didn't turn powerheads off to get a steadier reading. So since dropping the t5 led fixture I'll leave it for a week or two and slowly raise the last 10% to get the top into 400s

The acans in middle are in 300 par because that's where the mitras beams meet. I might have to move them to outskirts. The lady wants a clam. So I figure id try a nice clam right in middle maybe. But I see these guys have the tsa fruity pebbles in 500par. I'm only at 350. And after acclimate to 100% only in 400. So I guess I'll just have to come to terms I will never have 450-500 peak

I'm not sure why you want it that high? And I'm not understanding how you had almost 400 par at the top of the rocks with just the Lx7's at 50%, but now you can't get there with the t5's also?

My tank with Lx7's and lightbar. I have no idea what my par is right now. I've decided to not chase #'s. Are you over driving any channels?

Yes I'm using reef rocker composed on ghl site.

Those numbers back then we're me misunderstanding. I was newer didn't understand what I was reading. Reef rocker is at 90% where I am now. That was intensity. When I said 50%. I was in my app looking at this. Which is the average for channels. I was reading that that long time ago thinking that was the intensity lol.

I'm running reef rockers also. Toned down. I think lowering you're lights will give you what you're looking for.

Ya I'm happy with where it's at now 350 top rock. And after slowly making the 90% peak to 100% will be plenty for me. I don't need 500par. If I don't get crazy colors. Oh well. They will still look juicy at 350-420

Timely discussion, I am hoping to deploy my mitras this week. I had downloaded the telegraham light composer project posted here this spring. Anyone with thoughts/suggestions/pros/cons versus the reef rocker 17k? I have the telegraham project set up with peak at 80% of what he had set up since I will have 2x 7206 on a standard 75 gal. I was planning to set acclimation mode at 50% with a two month acclimation to 100%.

That composer project is the AB+ Radion project. I downloaded it but just can't get myself to go for it. Seems kinda bland to me. Besides if I wanted to run that I'd just as well buy the Radions.
I haven't really read where anyone is running that project.

Cool, thanks, will give it another look. RRL looked like it drove the lights pretty hard (and likely more than I need). Correct me if I am wrong, but if I import into light composer and then set the global brightness at something like 75% or 80% it will keep everything identical just at a lower intensity on each channel, right?

I thought I saw reefbum talking about the telegraham one but I may be mistaken.

He uses it. Tele made it for him. To replicate what he was used to. I contacted reefbum to try RRL don't think he wanted to try it he's happy with his. U can take any composer and just lower the intensity of any time point u want. If 90% peak is to much. Drop it to 70. U can always slowly raise it over timeor under the mitras connection itself. U can change overall 100% to say 80%. If u think it's to high.
