Hi I have a baby jewel damsel and I am thinking of adding another one and does anyone else know about rare damsels names and about them and fish that look like jewel damsels

Depends on the tank size, I would say that 2 could fit into a 20 gallon, I wouldn't put 2 in less than that.

Jewels (Microspathodon chrysurus) are on the more aggressive side. It is suggested to only keep one. Also has they mature they don't hold onto that juvenile color.

With regards to how many damsels as noted above a lot depends on the display size and choice of damsel. @ca1ore had close to 70 in his 400 or 450 gallon display. I've kept 7 Sapphires mixed in with an Azure in my 210. The Sapphires get a bit protection focused when spawning and eggs are present so very aggressive. I've rehomed them and currently have 11 Layretails from Biota. They are the bees knees in keeping a mixed reef busy.

Usually hobbyist who want to keep damsels look at the Chrysiptera line. Azure, talbots, etc.
