Billy, from my experience with most chalices once they get larger (bigger than 1") the growth rate goes up almost exponentially. More surface area, more eyes to feed=greater growth. With my BM now at this stage I can almost notice it growing weekly. The key is letting them grow and not cutting them, which most people dont do. LOL!!
Unfortunately, if I didn't cut, I wouldn't be able to get money for groceries and saltwater supplies. This hobby isn't for poor folk like me :cry:. But to tell you the truth, even if I was living in out of a box, I think I'd have to own a reef tank. That's how much I love this hobby You've got some beautiful colonies Darren!
