I got these two clowns about eight months ago and they were both supposed to be faults percolate clowns. I wanted to get a pair that would bond together now some months later the larger of the two has darkened in color and I’m wondering is that normal when changing to female or do I have two different types of clown fish. They look like the same type to me . You can get variations in color over time. Feed them live food like black or white worms and they should start laying eggs.

Turning darker is pretty normal for either gender as they get older.
