Does a Euphyllia frag need to be glued at the base?

I have a new Euphyllia frag that fits securely in between some branches of live rock without being glued at the base. I'm not even sure if the base is actually touching any rock at all. Will this be a problem? (It's been about a day now, and so far the polyps are all fully extended, and it LOOKS fine...)
