I finally caught the huge worm that has been resident in my reef for several years. I was lucky enough to capture it alive and in once piece. If anybody wants it let me know. I feel bad killing it even though it ate several thousand snails a year and lots of coral :-(

Not really sure what to do with it.... ideas?

it says online they commonly reach up to 30 meters?? its all coiled up but i can get some photos. it looks exactly like the oregon reef one but possibly bigger. its really hard to tell. I say 6ft because he would be streched out more half way across my 10ft long tank at night. Unless there is two of them. i hope not!

6 feet is not that big. Many more in people's tanks they don't even know about. Congrates on getting it. One of the happiest reefing days in 30 years the day I caught mine.

Oh and for you doubting Thomas's:

That video is so crazy how did that Octo get away !

When that worm pulls that fish down his hole into the mud that's like something from a horror movie !! Awesome

Thats actually the average size they grow to before splitting like earthworms. To get one in one piece is amazing do you have any pictures? I always have baby's 1/8 no bigger my fish have a hayday eating them at night.
