Plumbed and circulating. No leaks. Looks like a bomb went off in the house though. Been a busy day. Have to leave for work tomorrow so we've been trying to get it running
What a day. Everything is back up and going now, moving livestock. We tore down the 75, cleaned everything and moved the sump, plumbed the sump, moved the 75 to my sister in laws, set it up for her, then finished up here. I got called back to work earlier than expected so for now we hung the halides in the canopy. We are whooped. Turned out pretty awesome. This old euroreef rs250 is a beast. It's getting after it. Looks like it's as far as I'll get this days off.
Got the sock holders in there and can finally navigate thru the fish room. It was crowded with the 75 setup in there. The wife is getting a qt tank setup in there. Wish I was home to finish the lights and cabinet doors. Have to watch from apex and phone pics. Her and paw paw got the trim finished on the cabinet. Ya, she can run a chop saw too lol.
Well I'm about to do a DIY Marine Battery Backup setup, so I needed a cabinet for that anyways. I have the room on both sides, but not to the extent you did it. Still, I might end up doing that later on.
I'm still stuck at work but Brandi has been working on the doors. They're turning out nice. Our qt tank is almost cycled and we plan on starting fresh by letting the DT go fallow for a few months. Gonna qt our fish and treat them for any parasites. Not much else to do now. I'm waiting for rapid to get the UV leds I'm using back in stock so I can order them. I ordered a cole parmer pump online and B got it running for ato. I'll more than likely get some more for water changes. The steel rollers are the way to go. Few things here and there. I'm just hoping we can kill all parasites and keep them out of the tank.
Thanks Todd, It's all coming together. Still need to get the lights finished. That's my biggest obstacle right now. I purchased a bigger reef dynamics biopellet reactor on the forum last night. So I'll be putting my smaller recirculating reactor up for sale. Can't believe it was on there for sale. I was just telling B that we would prolly need to upgrade it eventually. I put the Deltec calcium reactor up for sale too. I'm just not sure if I want to mess with it at the moment. The litermeter is pretty easy for her to fool with when I'm gone compared to a reactor. Although I've had a set of rollers go bad on one litermeter and a hose got a pin hole on another one recently. We found a cole parmer pump and hooked it up for top off. My barrels are quite a ways away so trying to find the best solution for pumping that far. The cole parmer is quite a bit sturdier with the steel rollers. Going fallow for 3 months is gonna suck but we will do everything possible to eradicate parasites. Just hoping we don't do it then find a fish with ich in a few months. I've never had much luck keeping it 100% out. I'll keep putting up pics. I think they are gonna hang the doors today.
