Looking for advice from those who have a euro braced tank? I’m having my DT built and also decided to opt for a frag tank build. Probably only looking to house some lps and a few fish. My concern was does anyone have issues with euro bracing that has cross braces or that has a window cutout style? Does it interfere with light punch at all or any other problems? Thinking of going with just perimeter bracing but wanted to hear some opinions. My tank will be acrylic, 25mm thick all sides, with dimensions 108Lx30Dx18H

I used glasscages and got low iron eurobracing for my 48x24 it wasn’t much more than standard glass. The cross brace is double stacked and I get no shadowing. Haven’t checked par under it but I have T5/LEDs so not a concern really. Definitely don’t get tinted or smoked or anything like that and you’ll be fine.

Sweet i appreciate your feedback, definitely going for the window cutout euro brace on my 12’ DT. Might opt for the perimeter only bracing on the 9’ frag so I can have full access

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
