Beautiful pictures, I get so caught up in corals I forget how beautiful fishes can be, thanks for sharing; sure has made my day.

What is your camera setup? Are you using a flash on a sync cord? Beautiful photos.

Thank you! Nikon D600 (body), Nikon 105mm f/2.8 (lens), SB600 (flash). I have tried off-camera flash but haven't gotten great results, yet.

All of the pictures you quoted were taken -- special thanks to Gary Parr for showing me the settings! -- with the flash on the camera body, angled slightly upward with a white card rubber banded to the top of the flash to help bounce come light back in to avoid glare. Wish I would have taken more careful notes on the flash settings though because I haven't been able to replicate it...doh!
