I have a 60 gallon tank with only two fish.
1 ternate damselfish
And
1 tomato clownfish
I took the main light off after a tank crash (brought about by multiple mechanical failures).
Now I just have a cheap freshwater tank light on there.
So, I just have two fish in there plus a few blue legged hermits.

1. Can I add a few of the common feather dusters to my tank?

2. Will either the fish or the crabs bother them?

3. My understanding is that some feather dusters need light and some don't. Is that the case?

You should be fine with the light you have for common feather dusters. Crabs and fish may nip out of curiosity, but nothing you have will actively seek to eat it.

Noted. I was a bit nervous about the damsel.

Ya, they are filter feeders that don’t require light. I have a large one that ended up in the back of my tank with very minimal light and does great. I wish it was still where I originally placed it so I could see easily. Phytoplankton would be ideal.

Because they’re worms. I mean, I’ve not seen a single worm being photosynthetic.

None currently. Used to keep peppermint shrimp. I used to have an Older yellow coris wrasse that was fairly large. He ate two of the four so I returned the rest before he ate them all. That wrasse also ate my last attempt at a feather duster which is why I asked if my tank was suitable

I asked because a coralbanded shrimp would make quick work of it
