What's cfl? I can't get rid of the palm trees. I like them to much.

 fair enough! CFL = Compact Flourescent Lightbulb/Lamp....basically a power compact with a mogul base, you can buy them fairly cheap at a hardware store and they're usually in the 6500k spectrum so would be great for growing the mangroves. You could possibly still put a couple in along the back wall of the tank? Dunno, I just think it would look sweet having the fish actually cruising through the mangrove roots, and what better tank for them to be in.

Very nice stuff....but are you seriously using an MP10 just for circulation in your top-off bin?

Yes on the mp10

I actually had tons of people request mangroves around the island and I will be putting an order in today to try it out. I think it would look cool too.

nope, just have someone who supports my hobby to the fullest. I'm adding new things behind the tank so the tikis will stay there for now. Great idea tho!

Ahhhh! that is awesome!! :)
thank you!

Cool, super unique setup! How far away are those LEDs from the water surface? How are the corals liking them?

..... but what about swapping the palms for some mangroves with a CFL above them?

I was thinking the same thing before I even read this post. Mangroves would be super dope! Not to mention the added filtration and nutrient export.
