Hello everyone.

I'm going to add corals to a fish only tank.
The phosphate levels are higher than I'd like for that.
Would I need to bring them down slowly or can I do a rapid drop using lanthanum chloride?
Will a rapid decent harm the fish?

What is your phosphate level?

Yes adding too much lanthanum will kill your fish very quickly, unfortunately I've been there and done that and learned my lesson. Using gfo to quickly lower phosphate will not harm fish.

I use lanthanum to reduce phosphate by about .1, if needing to reduce much more than that I would use gfo.
