Hi every one, just finished building a rapid led dimmable 75 gallon kit. I'm looking for input on intensity and on time. The tank is going to a mixed reef with mostly lps. I am using a digital aquatics controller with an alc mod for the lights. Also how hot can the lights get before fans are needed.

you should be running a small fan blowing across the heatsink whenever the leds are on. i think in the data sheet for the leds it says the working temps of them.

For intensity and duration, start them low and work up. Start around 50% and ramp it up 10% every week or so. Your corals will dictate the amount of time needed to adjust to the new leds. I run a heavily packed 220g (8'x2') SPS tank and only run 120 3w cree leds and the white are only at 80%.

I started mine at 40% and bumped up gradually over 3 weeks. If you see anything starting to bleach out either move it lower in tank or drop back the intensity and go slower
