I think it is actually written in the Paypal terms and conditions that sellers are never allowed to make buyers pay the 3% fee, it is their responsibility.

when you bought this Gyre XF-130, did you pay them as a gift and you paid shipping?

I paid shipping but since it was purchased thru Drs. F&S, there was no PayPal fee.
