Awesome tank! I'm seeing that the rock layout doesn't need to be obsessed over as much (and wow do I obsess over each rock!) when you have gorgeous corals! Here's my system two sections left and right with a big "canyon" divide in the middle
I don't have seahorses...are you thinking of starfish?I have a shed with nothing but surplus tanks, supplies, dry rock, equipment from years ago, etc. Tons of dry rock in there but I'm trying to use the live rock so I can shorten/skip the cycle, but some of the stuff I'm trying to arrange is heading for the shed!
Is the sea apple in the seahorse tank or one of your other tanks? I love the pink warty cucumber - am on waiting lists for another, but didn't think it would be safe in a seahorse tank. No issues with yours?
Hi ,Literally breathtaking! How are those rocks attached to each other?????
I can't put any sand-sifting starfish in the tank because I'm going bare-bottom in this tank - easier to keep it clean since the seahorses are messy creatures! There are two serpent starfish living in the rocks I'm going to use. And then if I find some, maybe I can get some blue and orange starfish - I think those are safe with seahorses.I don't have seahorses...are you thinking of starfish?
If you mean Linckia stars, I don't think the primary concern is them being safe with seahorses...I can't put any sand-sifting starfish in the tank because I'm going bare-bottom in this tank - easier to keep it clean since the seahorses are messy creatures! That was my first scape I started with 7 years ago. I used pukani rocks then, now I'm just using florida base rock. Some of those rock stacks look precarious but I'm guessing you used cement, glue, rods or zip ties? I love the rock you started with - mine are bigger and chunkier.
