Can someone post a picture or explain how to build a trap to catch a gorilla crab. I think I have one left and can’t find him. Caught one eating an Acro frag I put in the day prior. Was able to locate him and was able to kill it, but now I’m seeing some similar spots on my birdsnest that leads me to believe there is another. Any help is appreciated.

I got rid of 5 or 6 large crabs.

First I tried the coke bottle and all I caught was my Gem Tang, twice...

Next I tried this. It didn't work.

I finally caught them 1 at a time by flipping on the overhead lights in the room at 4 am and grabbing them with a 24 inch grabber. Have the top off and grabber ready. You have to get them quick while their eyes adjust to the light. After 15-20 seconds and their eyes adjust it will flee. One of them had a span from claw to claw of almost 6 inches. I gave up on capturing my mantis shrimp. He is just part of the community and I have to be carful as to what I put in the tank. Good luck.

Thanks, I haven’t been able to see it but I’m sure it’s still in there. Have tried to locate it at night with no luck yet.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
