I have a green algae bloom right now. About 6 months ago I got a green killing machine and in about 3 days it was cleared up from the last bloom. I think it was just a bandaid for what's really going on in the tank. I was thinking about getting some GFO to lower the phosphates. I havent measured since the bloom started about a week ago. Does anyone have any experience with this type of algae bloom and the possible causes?

Algae feeds off nutrients. Need to get that under control.
