Hi i am worried for my frogspawn. I have four of them and almost daily they are releasing this brown string. After some doing some research I was told it’s either releasing waste or expelling zooxanthellae. I’m sure it’s normal to happen ever so often but it happens very often.

I had a bad dyno situation and during so my frogspawns were receding from the base. As of now this has stopped. Any advice would be appreciated.

Coral could be stressed. What are your parameters? This happens to new corals that I add to the tank on the fiesta day. That happens to my hammer 3 days ago when I added it.

I was thinking stress due to light as my parameters have been steady at 7.5 dkh, ca 445, 1290mg, 10 no3, .01 po4.

I lowered my lights but not much of a change maybe slightly more open.

Not anything to change too quickly but this type of coral seems to do better with magnesium above 1400.

Yeah cold be light. IMO I would raise dkh to 9.0
